Touchy (RPF)

Apparently I took an almost three month hiatus. It was completely unplanned. Thanks (& sorry!) to all of you who have asked about my RPF - it means a lot that you guys have missed it! I've been writing & rewriting this over & over. It seems that I'm still a bit rusty, given the unexpected break from writing. This is just a short little something & I hope that finally being satisfied with it means that I'm working out all that rust!

Woops, forgot to add that like most of my stuff, yes this is a one shot. Hopefully now that I've started working the kinks out of my writing, I'll have something new again soon. :)

Somewhere during all the casting calls, the long days, and the time between takes, it happened: they became inseparable. For eleven years, they've spent more time with each other than with their families. They've grown dependent upon that time together.

When hiatus rolls around, there are countless phone calls, e-mails, and text messages. There are also dual-family vacations. It's not the same, but it's better than nothing.

They had been unsure whether they would be back for another season as the tenth wrapped up. Even now, with the next two years settled, they aren't sure how much longer they'll go on. They know it won't last forever and they both want to move on professionally, but neither is ready to give up their time together.

Maybe that's why it came as such a shock to their systems when it was decided that Peter would be brought in again for an episode.

"Chris, you've got to stop pouting. It's one day," she tells him.

He pulls her toward him, his hands tangling in hers.

"One day ... where I can't do this," he kisses her neck, "or this," he kisses along her jaw, "or this ..." He kisses the corner of her mouth, his lips hovering in front of hers.

Leaning forward, she closes the gap between them. Her lips move urgently over his, her tongue darting into his mouth. She runs her hands up his chest as his arms circle around her waist. He holds on to her tightly, as if he doesn't know how much longer he'll have her.

Chris perches on the table, working a piece of gum while he waits for the scene to be set up. He's glad that they're shooting on set instead of on location: on set, there are less people to talk to and most of them know he prefers to be left alone.

There's a swell of laughter to his left and he knows that she's there. The sound of her laugh carries above the others and lasts just a little longer. He smiles as she breaks free of the group and approaches. He hops off the table and meets her halfway.

The change in him is noticeable. He's a different person when he's around her. She beams at him as she greets him.

"Hey!"

"Hi, baby," he says softly.

"You okay?" she asks.

"I'm great."

They take their places to start filming a jail scene. Instinctively, he reaches out to touch her arm. It's a habit and he hasn't seen her since the early morning. He doesn't care if they have to do the scene over again all night; he needs that contact with her.

She can feel his hand on her arm before it's even there. A few seconds later, she cups his arm in her hand. The charge surges through her and she loves the way he makes her feel more alive.

There's a knock on the door of her dressing room and it swings open.

"So, did Peter leave?" he asks her.

"A while ago. We finished filming and he went to take care of August."

"Are you heading home?"

"In a few minutes. You?" She tilts her head when she asks.

"I was thinking of grabbing a drink. I figured I'd see if you wanted to come.

He takes a step forward, standing in front of her. She cups his arm in her hand again, without even thinking.

"Not tonight."

Taking another step, he puts his arms around her. Their foreheads rest against each other and she can feel his nose nuzzle against hers. She breathes in deeply, the light scent of his mint gum tingling in her nostrils.

"I need to go home," she tells him.

"I know," he whispers back.

Her hand slides up his arm before she steps back.

"I'll see you tomorrow," she promises.

The smile lights up her eyes before it reaches her mouth. He smiles back, catching her elbow while he edges toward the door.

"See you tomorrow."

Busted (RPF)

Pairing: Mariska & Chris

Someone who wishes to remain unnamed sent me a message with a concept for a story, one which she wanted to pass on to me. I wrote this based on some of her prompts. I hope I did her idea justice & gave her the smut she was looking for. ;)

He has her pinned against the mirror in the interrogation room. One hand has a hard grip on her shoulder and the other is pressed firmly against the mirror. Their eyes are locked and after he berates her in front of their suspect, she lets out a harsh breath.

Turning from her, he brushes his hand against her side. Her stomach drops and she struggles to hold her composure. The tension was written into the script, but in actuality it was much more explosive.

She’s glad that she doesn’t have any more lines in the scene, quite content to stay pressed against the mirror. It takes all her will power not to squirm; she knows the camera is still on her.

As much as she craves his proximity, she doesn’t think she can stand another take. This is their second and if they have to go a third time, she can’t be held accountable for her actions. If she moves against him … If she tilts her head toward him …

“Cut! That’s a wrap.”

She sighs and slinks further down the wall. Her head dips forward and she rubs her hand against the back of her neck.

“Tense?”

Not that she needs to, but she glances up at him. He has a smirk on his face and she wants to roll her eyes at him, but she smiles.

“Something like that.”

“Wanna ride with me to the location?” he asks.

“No,” she blurts out. “I have to talk to Dawn, so I’m gonna jump in the crew van.”

“Okay. See you later.”

He brushes against her again as he leaves, but she doesn’t give him the satisfaction of a physical response. She waits a few beats before heading out.

She really did have to talk to Dawn, but was unfocused the whole ride. Her mind kept going back to Chris. More than once she had to shake her head to try to clear her thoughts.

Retreating to her trailer, she locks the door behind her.

“Fuck,” she mutters.

Collapsing on the couch, she puts her head in her hands. Get it together, she tells herself.

She turns on the DVD player to try to take her mind off of … things. The disc starts up from where it had been, on an episode of Oz.

She had decided on a whim to catch up on the series. While Chris was on the show, she would occasionally watch to support him. Later she realized that he would talk up an episode to her whenever he was going to be exposed on screen. She laughed when she figured it out & called him on it, but she never mentioned how she looked forward to those scenes.

The disc was from the second season & she was actually enjoying the show, even though Keller had yet to make an appearance. She sighed as she tried to concentrate on rival prison gangs.

“Oh shit.”

There he is. She knew something seemed familiar about the episode, but she figured it was the continuous story line. But there he was, on her screen. He had that dark look in his eyes, that unshaven look that transformed him.

She glances around the trailer before rolling her eyes at herself; as if there would be any one watching her in her own trailer.

She fast forwards through the episode to his next scene, and then the scene after that. She shrugs out of her jeans and panties, reveling in the feel of the cool air against her skin.

As she watches her co-star shower on screen, she takes matters into her own hands. Her hips buck and she accidentally hits pause. She doesn’t notice this though and she starts to pant. Her fingers work faster and she lets out a hiss as she finds her release.

She leans her head back against the couch. She wonders how the next scene will read, now that she’s feeling relieved. After catching her breath, she gets up to clean up.

Just as she’s sliding her jeans up her hips, she hears a knock at the door.

“Shit,” she says under her breath.

She does a once over of the trailer and bites her lip as she heads toward the door.

“Who is it?” she asks.

“Chris,” he yells from the other side of the door.

After clearing her throat, she opens the door.

“Hey,” he says as he breezes past her.

“Mm, hey.”

The beginnings of a smirk are forming at the sides of his mouth.

“What’s up with you?”

“What do you mean?”

“Your face is flush.” His eyes rake over her. “Your whole body is flush.”

He’s up against her, his hand trailing down her arm.

“What, were you watching porn or something?” he teases.

“No, of course not!” The words tumble out of her mouth too quick.

His lips hover over her mouth before landing right at the corner. She closes her eyes and he moves away. Grabbing the remote from the couch behind her, he presses “play” and the screen starts up again after having gone blank.

The smirk plays across his whole face when he sees the tail end of his first shower scene. He tosses the remote aside and turns back toward her.

“You know,” he says, his fingers running along her throat, “you shouldn’t have resorted to this.”

His lips follow his fingers and she tilts her head back. She draws her arms around his waist and steps into him.

“You know you can have the real thing any time you want,” he tells her.

“Oh yeah?” she whispers as her hands fly to the button of his pants.

He kicks off his shoes so that she can get them off and then takes the hem of her shirt in his hands. He hooks his thumbs on the shirt and runs his hands along her body as he raises it over her. His fingers tangle in her hair once he tosses it over her head.

“Any time, baby.” His voice is a thick liquid coursing through her.

She can feel his erection against her thigh and she threads her legs around him. Her body responds immediately and she doesn’t want to waste any time. Clothes are shed and she shoves his shoulder in the direction of the couch. He sits and she straddles him, reaching down to guide him into her.

Her hands are on his shoulder and he watches as she moves over him. Her back is arched and her head is thrown back. He runs his hands up her back and she looks at him.

“I’ve been thinking about this,” she pauses, “all day.”

He groans as she leans forward, her finger nails digging in to his shoulders. He cups her ass and pulls her into him as he thrusts.

“Me, too.”

“Who’d be better in bed,” she asks, her mouth against his ear. “You, Stabler, or Keller?”

He laughs, short and brief, before he feels her tongue glide along the tip of his ear.

“Christ.”

“Wasn’t one of the options,” she tells him.

He slides his finger inside her and listens as she lets out a low moan.

“You’ve said it in bed before.”

She drops the shell of a conversation to concentrate on the way he’s driving himself in just the right spot. He knows he’s got her and his head dips down, taking one of her nipples into his mouth.

“Oh, God.”

Her thighs tighten around him and her mouth roams to his shoulder. As a ripe tide crashes over her, she sinks her teeth into his skin.

“Jesus,” he calls out.

As they both come down from their high, he rolls them over and tangles his hand in her hair.

“Wasn’t that better?”

On location, they set up for the next shot. She checks the script before handing it off to an assistant. When she looks up, her eyes meet his.

The desire is evident in his eyes and she’s sure it’s mirrored in hers. Slowly, his eyes drag down her body and back up. After a minute, she smiles at him and he smiles back.

“Action!”

Chris calls Mariska over to wear he’s sitting in front of the monitors, watching back footage. She pulls up the nearest chair and he nudges her arm.

“Look at this,” he says.

The moment between them before the scene started was captured on film. There are close ups of both of them as well as wider shots with both of them in the frame.

“How much you wanna bet they use this,” she says, trailing off into a laugh.

“I think that’s what they call ‘eye sex’, babe.”

He gets up and walks toward his trailer, looking over his shoulder to give her a smirk.

The Kindle in the Fire (RPF)

I decided to branch out in terms of RPF. I've been writing Mariska & Chris for a while now & it seemed silly not to write David & Emily, since I started with them first! Also, a couple people asked me to write some D/E RPF. I aim to please. ;)

I hope I did the idea of them justice. They were a little tricky!

The wine is flowing and Emily feels her face begin to flush. She’s glad that she decided to go to the party, even if it was last minute. She needed a night out, away from her usual routine which was anything but comfortable.

The deep red liquid sways in the glass as she walks. Turning a corner, she does a double take. She thought he would be at home with his wife. Yet, there he is. His back is facing her, but she knows it’s him.

He turns, as if he can feel her eyes on him. A smile lights up his face and she can’t help but laugh: he almost looks like a kid on Christmas morning. Excusing himself from the conversation, he makes his way toward her.

“I didn’t know you were coming,” he says.

His lips land dangerously close to hers as he greets her with a kiss. She can smell the alcohol on his breath mixed with his cologne.

“I wasn’t going to come. Didn’t expect to see you here.”

“I needed a night out,” he tells her.

Taking a swig of his drink, he looks her up and down. His eyes settle back on hers.

“What?” she asks.

“Nothing.”

He puts his drink down and takes her hand in his, walking toward the door leading outside. The night is dark and the garden is dimly lit. He keeps walking until the drift of conversations stop, until they can barely hear the hum of the music.

Finding a bench, he sits down and she follows. Her glass is set down on the ground, the liquid untouched. Her hand is still in his, resting on his lap.

When he leans toward her, she doesn’t pull away like she does when he tries to kiss her on set. His tongue darts into his mouth and he can taste the wine on her. It seems as if she breaks the kiss as soon as it starts, her forehead resting against his.

“David.”

There’s a tinge of regret in her voice and it slices through him quickly.

“I’m sorry, Emily.”

Her hand untangles from his, but remains in his lap. His arm snakes around her waist, his fingers barely grazing her body. As if her body and her mind are disconnected, her hand runs up to his chest. She can almost feel his heart beat as his body rises and falls.

“I can’t hide the way I feel about you,” he tells her. “I just can’t.”

This time she’s the one who leans toward him. Her lips are a whisper against his, a secret between just the two of them.

“Neither can I,” she says.

“Well, where does that leave us?”

Her hand wraps around his neck as she draws herself closer to him. Her head settles on his shoulder.

“I don’t know,” she whispers.

“Gotta go,” he yells as he heads out the door.

He slides into the seat of the car, pulling is phone out of his pocket as he settles in behind the wheel. He holds the “1” down and listens as it rings.

“Hello?” she answers.

“Hey, Em.”

“What’s up?”

“Wanna meet up before our lesson?” he asks her.

“Sure. How about in … half an hour?”

“See you then.”

Since the beginning, they’ve been working with an acting coach on the weekends. It started out as a way to bond, to ensure that the embers of their chemistry remained hot. Of course, they didn’t really need to do anything to make sure that their chemistry remained.

No one dared broach the subject of ending the lessons. David and Emily seemed more than happy to continue investing time doing the work. In all honesty, it was the time they spent together that made them happy. It was an unspoken decision to stay the course.

He meets her in the studio with a cup of coffee in each hand. Smiling, her hand brushes against his as she takes a cup from him.

“Thanks,” she says.

“No problem.”

He follows her into Brennan’s office and takes a seat next to her on the couch. They sip their coffee, enjoying each other’s company in a comfortable silence.

Comfortable, is that what they are?

Her thigh is pressed against his and her head rests on the couch, tilted toward him. He smiles at her as he puts his cup down.

He’s not sure if it was inevitable that he would fall for her. True, lots of co-stars do. It’s the long hours, the close proximity. There are lots of co-stars who don’t fall for each other though.

Their characters have chemistry, but it’s not spill over. When they’re not filming, he doesn’t see her as Brennan & he doesn’t feel like Booth. Her head doesn’t dive for his shoulder when they hug the way it does when they’re filming.

She puts down her cup and reaches for his hand, her fingers slipping between his.

“What are you thinking about?” she asks him.

“You,” he answers.

“David.”

She gives him a little nervous laugh. He leans toward her, his hand snaking behind her neck.

“David,” she whispers.

He pauses, looking at her.

“Emily.”

She leans forward and kisses him lightly. She’s tried to keep him out of her mind, but it never seems to work. She tried denying her feelings, but they just grew stronger. So she figures she needs to try giving in. She’s known about David’s feelings, which is no help.

She kisses across his jaw line.

“What time is it?”

“We’ve got five minutes,” he tells her.

“Can you stay for a little while after?”

He turns his head to kiss her wrist.

“Yeah, I can stay.”

They retreat back to Brennan’s office after their coach leaves. Both of them are laughing over the last technique they had to try out. David’s arm is slung over her shoulder and she leans in to him as she tries to catch her breath.

“Stop!” she yells as he starts to tickle her.

She side steps away from him, but he grabs her arm. He grabs the other before she can move and pins them behind her back with one hand.

“David!”

Her eyes widen as his hand creeps toward her.

“Don’t!”

“Give me a reason,” he teases.

“David Boreanaz, don’t you dare!”

She twists, trying to get out of his grip, but he moves with her. The space between them is closed and she stops laughing. He lets go of her arms, but doesn’t move.

She can hear the distant tick of a clock, but for the life of her she can’t remember where the clock is located in the office. Her eyes flicker up to his and he has a look on her face that she’s never seen before.

“Em.”

Her eyes close and she lets out a breath. When she opens her eyes again, she avoids his.

“Emily, don’t.”

His hand runs under her chin. He doesn’t turn her head; he just leaves his hand there. His fingers rest against her jaw as he waits for her to meet his gaze.

Slowly, her eyes shift back to him.

“I know,” he tells her. “It’s too much, too soon. Just don’t blank out on me, okay?”

“Okay,” she responds.

He moves to the couch, lying down across it. Without hesitating, she lays against him, her head on his chest.

He smiles and rakes his fingers through her hair. Sometimes, a similarity between Booth and him sneaks up out of no where. He can’t push her or he might lose her; he’s ready, but she’s not.

The difference here is that Emily has acknowledged both his feelings and hers. The difference is that their existence is much more convoluted.

However, just like Booth, he knows she’s worth the wait.

Closer (RPF)

Yup, I'm in a huge RPF mood!

Chris discards his boxers on top of a pile of clothes. He slips between the sheets, his eyes closing as his head hits the pillow.

He can still feel her lips against his. He swipes his tongue across his lip as he remembers the way she rolled her tongue in his mouth, slowly and seductively.

She walks out of the dressing room across from his in a red dress. His eyes run up her long legs, taking in her curves, and landing on her face. Her smile lights her up, her eyes pouring into his. She twirls around, ending closer to him than when she started.

“You like?” she asks.

He puts his arms around her waist, pulling her closer.

“Mhm,” he murmurs against her ear.

Her neck tilts back as his lips graze her skin. She presses against him and it’s almost more than he can take. He wants to back her into the dressing room and lock the door behind them. However, he knows that they’re needed on set for more photographs. They’re not on their home turf, it’s not their place to call the shots and change the schedule.

She turns her head, her nose nuzzling his. He takes her bottom lip between his. She shifts against him, her arms circling around his neck.

Turning on his side, he inadvertently opens his eyes. Sighing, he gets out of bed. He throws his boxers back on and makes his way out to the living room.

His cell vibrates next to him and he picks it up.

“Marish?”

“Hey.”

“Everything okay?” he asks.

“Yeah, I just,” she pauses, “wanted to say good night. I didn’t wake you, did I?”

“No, I’m not in bed.”

“Oh, okay.”

“Are you?”

“Yeah.”

He remembers her mentioning something about Peter taking August out of town earlier. He wishes he hadn’t, because now he’s focused on her alone in bed.

“You still there?”

He doesn’t realize that he’s been silent until she brings him back to the conversation.

“I’m here. So, you called to say good night?”

“Mm. Can’t sleep.”

“Me neither.”

Slinking down on the couch, he pulls a blanket over himself from the arm of the couch.

“Why not, Baby?”

“Just … thinking,” he tells her.

Despite their proximity, he needs her closer. She’s right next to him, yet he feels an ache thinking about the distance between them. He wishes that they were alone, that it was just the two of them. It’s not that he wants her under him. Well, he wants that too. More than anything, he wants to feel connected to her. He wants to know that her focus is solely on him.

Mid-sentence, he lunges for her. He throws his arms around her and he almost laughs at her quick response. Her lips are on his and he dips her, her legs running up against him. He’s not sure how they wind up standing, but her leg is thrown around him and it’s almost more than he can take.

“Why don’t you talk me to sleep? Tell me a story.”

“Like what?” he asks.

“I don’t know. You pick, you know what I like.”

He clears his throat, buying a little time as he thinks.

“Once upon a time,” he starts, “there was a beautiful princess named Mariska.”

He can practically hear her smile through the phone.

“Doesn’t it always start like that?”

“The princess had long, dark hair and dark eyes. However, her eyes were always lit up. She had the best smile, more beautiful than all the other princesses. And she had the best body in all the land.”

She laughs, loud & uninhibited.

“This doesn’t sound like a kids’ story.”

“Oh, it’s not,” he countered. “All the men lined the roads whenever she was out. They all wanted to catch a glimpse of her and they all dreamed of one day bedding her.”

“Oh, really?”

“Mhm. Stop interrupting. I’m getting to the good part.”

“Okay.”

She’s chuckling and the sound makes him beam.

“One day, a tall, dark, and handsome suitor arrived at the palace. His name was Prince Peter. He was charming and he won the princess’s hand. Princess Mariska and Prince Peter got married not long after. This displeased Chris, the Duke of Meloni. You see, Duke Chris had always had his eye on Princess Mariska.”

He sighs as he turns on the couch. His arm stretches over his head as he settles into a new position.

“So, Duke Chris began plotting ways to get Princess Mariska to himself.”

“Mm, so why did he wait until after she was married?”

“It was complicated.”

“Sounds it,” she says. She sighs and he can hear her bedding rustling in the background as she moves. “I wish you could come tuck me in.”

“Me, too.”

“I should go … Night.”

“Night, Marish.”

“Chris?”

He rubs his eyes before opening them. Sherman is standing over him, a confused look on her face.

“Did you sleep out here all night?” she asks.

“Guess so,” he says as he gets up.

He pads into the bedroom, stretching his upper body as he goes. Sitting on the bed, he pecks out a message on his phone.

Did you get to sleep last night?

New Message Mariska

I did. You know I would have harassed you if I didn’t.

True.

Yup. I never got to finish my story though.

Maybe later. You wanna get coffee this afternoon?

They’re on hiatus and he wasn’t sure if he would see her before filming started back up. He doesn’t have any plans and if he did, he would probably try to rearrange them.

Sounds good.

He wonders if he’ll be able to get her alone, if she’s thinking the same thing right now. Then he smiles, knowing that having the opportunity to have her to himself over coffee is enough.

When they sit down, she draws her chair closer to him. Her leg is pressed against his and he can smell her perfume with every breath.

“So, you want to hear how Duke Chris won the princess’s heart?”

“Yeah, I do.”

She smiles and rests her hand on his knee. He leans into her and he knows he has her.

There’s a collective sigh as they finish the scene without anyone cracking up on camera. Mariska’s hand collides with Chris’s in a high five. She holds on to his hand as they finally let out their laughter.

Pulling her into a hug, he leans in to whisper in her ear.

“When was the last time you masturbated?”

“Chris,” she hisses.

“Baby, you may pretend you’re innocent, but you’re anything but.”

“Shut the fuck up.” She pauses. “We’ll discuss this in private.”

She moves out of his arms, smiling as she walks away.

When he opens the door to his dressing room, he’s surprised to see her waiting for him. A grin spreads across his face as he crosses the room. He’s steps away from the couch when she shakes her head.

“Over there,” she says, pointing to the chair angled toward the couch.

He raises an eyebrow, but follows her direction. Once he’s seated, he watches as she strips off her shirt.

“Wh-”

“Just watch,” she tells him.

Standing up, she shrugs out of her pants.

“M-”

“Did you forget what you asked me earlier?”

He opens his mouth to answer, but then she’s lying on the couch with her fingers at the edge of her panties.

“I know you’re more of a visual person,” she tells him.

He watches as her hand slips under, her fingers straining against the gauzy material. Her back arches and she lets out a sigh. After a few strokes, she moves one leg off the cough and pushes the material over so that he has a better view.

She bites her lip as she moans, her body moving against her hand. Her eyes remain on him and after letting out a breath, she smiles.

“Does this,” she pauses, “answer your question?”

“Mm,” is the most he’s able to utter.

He can tell she’s getting close. Her fingers work faster and she gets quiet, the moment building up. He groans as he gets up, and she doesn’t notice until his palm moves down her thigh. She looks at him, his eyes focused on her hand.

“Wh-”

“You proved your point,” he informs her.

Grabbing onto her wrist, he slowly draws her arm back. She exhales as he takes her fingers in his mouth, making quick work of sucking each one. His hands wrap around her legs before he lowers his head. She bucks her hips as his mouth moves against her. Her eyes close and his name forms in the sounds falling from her lips.

“Fuck!”

Her leg curls around his shoulder and she lets out a soft moan as he pulls back from her. He smirks at her as she catches her breath.

His hands travel up to her hips, his fingers hooking on the waistband of her panties.

A knock on the door cuts him off before he can respond.

It’s the second time in a row she’s flubbed a line. She’s trying to focus on the take, but falters every time she looks up to meet his gaze.

The crew sets up the shot again and she paces, going through the lines over in her head. She turns and lands right in front of him.

“You okay?” he asks.

“A little distracted,” she mutters.

“Mm, why is that?”

His hand is on the back of her neck and it’s doing nothing for her concentration. Yet, she sinks into his touch.

“You know why.”

He rubs her neck as he looks around.

“Tired?”

“Tired of waiting.”

She’s not surprised to see that he was going commando. He sits down and watches as she undresses. His hand is in his lap, but she walks toward him and he stares.

“Not this time,” she tells him.

She straddles him and his arms automatically loop around her waist.

“What do you have in mind?” he asks, raising an eyebrow at her.

Her lips move across his jaw as she reaches down to position him at her entrance.

“You know what I want, Meloni.”

He thrusts into her, his hands moving up her back. She holds on to his shoulders as she moves against him.

“So hot,” he whispers.

“Mm?”

“You. So hot. Earlier.”

She leans back, smiling.

“Now?”

“Mhm.”

She pants as he quickens his pace. Leaning forward again, she buries her head against him. She kisses his neck, her tongue sweeping across his skin. Her teeth bite against a long cord of muscle when he pulls out, only to enter her again at an agonizingly slow pace.

“Right there,” she hisses.

His release is on the tail of hers. His hand slips under her chin, turning her head toward him. He kisses her and feels her relax against him.

They get through the scene on the first take and she rolls her eyes when he smirks at her. She hates to admit, even to herself, that she’s on the mark after being with him. His hand connects with her elbow and she looks at him.

“You need a reminder?”

His hand moves to her lower back, his fingers playing with the hem of her shirt.

“Baby, you don’t need to thank me.”

She turns into him. Her hand reaches for his, her thumb stroking his palm.

“And maybe you can remind me later.”

Impressions (RPF)

A while back, one of my friends told me she had an idea for an RPF, but didn't have the time to write it. She asked me if I would take a stab at it, giving me the prompt of Chris & Mariska filming Fault & a line she could imagine Chris saying. I hope I did her idea justice!

He doubles back, stalking toward her. His voice rises along with his anger level. She yells back, each of them hurling hurtful words toward each other. He can tell by the look on her face that he’s getting to her, but it doesn’t stop him. In that moment, he’s not thinking. The words come out of his mouth automatically.

Then they’re sitting next to each other. Their volume is more subdued now, but the tension is worse than ever. He can see the emotion pooled in her eyes. Again, he keeps going. He has to tell her, he can’t think of the consequences. If he does, he won’t be able to get the words out.

When her voice cracks, it’s more than he can take.

The door to her dressing room cracks open, but she doesn’t look up. He stands in the doorway, watching a tear streak down her face.

“Are you okay?” he asks.

“Fine.”

“You don’t seem it,” he tells her.

He closes the door before making his way to the couch. Crouching in front of her, he takes her hand in his.

“Mariska, what’s wrong.”

“It’s stupid,” she tells him. “Just pregnancy hormones. I don’t know why I’m crying. I guess doing those scenes made me upset.”

His hand automatically reaches for her stomach. She smiles and strokes his hand with her thumb.

“I don’t want your kid to come out hating me.”

“What are you talking about?”

“We’re having a shouting match, you’re upset … he knows. I don’t want him to hate me the second he hears my voice.”

“Sweetheart, he’s not going to hate you. This is one day. If he’s going to come out with any feelings toward you, they’ll be more than positive.”

Slipping his hand out of hers, he gently raises the hem of her shirt. His hands rest on the sides of her growing belly and his lips rest against her skin.

“Hey, little man,” he says in a lulling voice.

Her hand wraps around his neck and she closes her eyes as he whispers to the baby. There’s no way he’ll come out hating Chris, not with the surge of emotions charging through her body. The tender, soothing sound of his voice is more than enough to combat their shouting match. She feels foolish for crying earlier, she knows that Elliot’s harsh words have nothing to do with her.

He kisses up her stomach, his hands sweeping up her sides.

“You’re going to make such a great mom, Marish.”

She opens her eyes to look down at him.

“Thanks,” she whispers.

He pauses before entering the hospital room. Peter is at her side and August is in her arms. He considers leaving, but then she looks up and smiles at him. That’s all it takes.

“Chris,” she says as he enters the room.

Peter looks up, his hand sliding around Mariska’s shoulder.

“Hey, Chris,” he says.

Chris stands next to the hospital bed, across from Peter. His eyes flicker from Mariska to the little bundle in her arms.

“He’s adorable,” he says.

“Thanks,” Mariska replies.

They exist in silence, no one saying a word. August shifts, his eyes opening for the first time since Chris entered the room. The vibrations of a cell phone on a table breaks everyone’s gaze.

“That’s me,” Peter announces. “Hello? Yep, the fourth floor. No, it’s … No. Alright, where are you? I’ll be right there.”

“That was my mom. She’s lost, so I have to go help her. I’ll be back soon,” he tells Mariska. “Do you need anything?”

“Can you grab me a new magazine?”

“Sure. What do you want?”

“Anything, maybe Vanity Fair?”

“Okay. Be back soon.”

He exits the room, the silence renewing.

Chris sits on the edge of the bed, his hand resting on top of her leg. He smiles at her, taking in the blissful look about her.

“You look amazing,” he tells her.

She laughs, and August opens his eyes again.

“I must look terrible,” she says.

“You’re gorgeous.”

At the sound of his voice, August lazily shifts his gaze. She holds out her arms so that Chris can hold the baby.

“Hi, August.”

Her son lays against him: a soft, small weight in his arms and a strong, heavy weight in his heart. August’s fingers clench against the blanket and Chris stares at him, surprised at how moved he feels.

“I told you he wouldn’t hate you.”

He looks up from the baby; he looks up to see her face.

“I know.”

Putting August back in her arms, he shifts closer to her. She’s warm and he feels like he’s burning up, just being close to her. His arm is around her waist.

“I have to go,” he tells her.

She leans forward, catching his lips with hers. Their kiss is slow and easy, as is his touch. It’s comfort and security, and she wishes she could carry him around all the time like a baby blanket. But he pulls back, his hands retracting.

“I have to go,” he repeats.

On her first day back on set, August is in tote. There are flowers in her dressing room welcoming her back, as well as a slew of toys for August. She leaves August with the nanny, letting them both settle in to their new environment.

She knocks on the door of his dressing room and waits for him to open the door. He pulls her into a hug before closing the door behind them.

“Where’s August?” he asks.

“About to go down for a nap, I hope.”

“Mm, what about you?”

“I’m back,” she says with a smile.

Just because you know I love pictures. I couldn't pass up adding this to the post. :D

You know the drill ... I see photos, I write RPF. Huge thanks to CBsvu for the sexayyy banner! (The picture is an outtake from the TV Guide photo shoot.)

The music blares and Mariska turns her head to talk to Chris. His arms are snaked around her waist and she bends into him. Her thumb strokes his arm as she talks.

Photographers have learned to give them the general idea for the shoot and then let them loose. Other than slight adjustments for the camera, they don’t need much direction. In fact, the two of them wind up giving better shots when left to their own devices.

She laughs and then turns her head back toward the camera. They seem all business, except for the way their eyes are dancing. A minute later, they each start mugging for the camera. She starts to laugh again.

The music changes from a fast-paced track to a slow, smooth melody. He takes her hand in his and spins her out, then back into his arms. They rock to the beat, lost in each other.

She collapses on top of him, panting. He remains inside her and his arms snake around her waist.

“Good?” Chris asks after a minute.

He doesn’t hear her laugh, but he feels it.

“No,” she tells him. “The word mind-blowing might apply.”

“Hmm, I knew I was good, but that good …”

“Don’t go getting all cocky.”

He starts to pull out, then slowly thrusts back into her.

“I thought you liked that though?”

“Chris,” she moans as she grabs onto his arm.

The cameras click around them and they change their position. He slides one arm around her shoulder and she shifts to his side. His nose rests against her cheek as he whispers something to her, smiling as he does. Her lips pucker as she glances sideways at him.

His hand drops from her shoulder, his fingers dangerously close to her breast. It seems to be a pose he prefers, maybe because he likes to see how far he can take things. She’s normally the touchy one in public, but during a photo shoot his actions are justified.

His arms can wrap around her without worry. His gaze can linger on her with a smile in place. He can whisper in her ear, words meant just for the two of them. No one questions their actions or their intentions.

He cocks his eyebrow at her as she saunters over to him. She climbs onto his lap, attaching her mouth to his. His hands roam over her back. His fingers hook under the hem of her shirt and he slowly works it up, leaning back to get it over her head.

Looks can be deceiving. That’s what Mariska’s thinking as the car drives through the crowded New York streets. She’s settled against the back seat, her hands pressed against her knees. She stares out the window, knowing that she looks nonchalant.

Her bags are in the trunk and she hopes that she didn’t bring too much with her. She’s not sure how long she’ll be away from her place, but she doesn’t want to overstay her welcome. It was so sweet of Chris and his wife to offer to put her up for even a night.

Chris. She bites her lip as she slumps down in the seat a bit. He’s been on her mind since they met at auditions. They had an instant connection from the moment they met. She was drawn to his easy smile and his brilliant blue eyes. She certainly didn’t hate the way her name sounded coming from his lips.

Maybe looks aren’t all that deceiving after all.

He glances at the clock, wondering how long she spent packing and if she’s already on her way. He’s been camped out in the living room, pretending to read through a magazine. Sherman had been busy getting the guest room put together, but now she was sitting across from him.

“You know,” she said, getting his attention. “I think I’m going to go to bed. I can’t stay up any later. Will you apologize to Mariska for me?” she asks.

“I’m sure she’ll understand,” he tells her. “Night.”

“Good night,” she says as she exits the room.

He puts down the magazine, glad to no longer have an audience. Standing up, he starts to pace around the room. He hopes this wasn’t a mistake, inviting Mariska to stay with them. He felt so bad for her when she showed up with those allergy eyes, looking like she was about to burst into tears. He knew that she didn’t have anywhere to turn with her family back in California. Really, he was just being a good friend.

There was nothing wrong with wanting to be her friend. They hit it off immediately, falling into a back and forth banter as if they had known each other all their lives. If his hand brushed hers, it was merely an accident. If he was gazing into her eyes, it was just because he was maintaining eye contact.

A knock at the door breaks his train of thought.

“Hi,” he says as he opened the door.

“Hey, sorry it took me so long. I hope it’s not too late.”

“Not at all. Oh, well, Sherman’s already gone to bed. She wanted me to apologize for her. Don’t worry though; she never waits up for me either.”

She smiles and tucks a strand of hair behind her ear.

“Uh, I hope I didn’t … I wasn’t sure how much to bring with me,” she says sheepishly, gesturing to her luggage behind her.

“Let me help you,” he tells her.

He grabs the majority of her things, leaving a small bag on the floor which she takes. She follows him silently through the house. As they pass the bathroom, he points it out for her. She notices a staircase, assuming it leads up to the master bed and bath.

“And this is where you’ll be staying,” he says as he opens the door.

“Oh, great!”

She drops the bag inside the door and relieves him of the load he’s carrying.

“Chris, thank you so much for letting me stay with you. I don’t know how to tell you just what it means to me.”

“It’s no problem, Mariska.”

Watching the smile dance in her eyes, he tries to think of a way to extend their conversation.

“Do you want some help putting your things away?” he asks before fully thinking it through.

“That would be great. Would you mind starting while I change?” she asks.

“Sure.”

She grabs one of the bags he had carried in for her and makes her way past him to the bathroom.

He looks around at the luggage, not sure what to start with, not sure what to stay away from. Before he has a chance to make a decision, he hears the door close.

She’s standing beside him in a midnight blue nightgown, one of the thin straps sliding over her shoulder. She looks at him and gives him a shy smile.

“Sorry, I shouldn’t have asked you that. It was rude. We can just move everything in front of the closet and I’ll worry about it in the morning.”

“Oh, okay.”

Following her lead, he helps move her bags. Her arm brushes against his and he tries not to pay attention to the feel of her skin against his. As he moves the last bag, she sits on the bed.

“Are you sure it’s not an imposition for me to stay here?”

“Don’t be ridiculous,” he says as he approaches the bed. “I asked you to stay.”

She’s biting her lip again and she hopes he doesn’t notice.

“Yeah, you did. Thank you.”

“Are you going to keep thanking me all night?”

He hopes that didn’t come out the way it sounded, in retrospect. But she laughs and he finds himself sitting on the bed, moving next to her. She puts her hand on his arm and he tries to ignore the hum coursing through his body.

“I really do appreciate it. After the day I had yesterday, it’s nice to be somewhere so welcoming. I was ready to get back on a plane to California!”

“I’m glad you didn’t.”

“Sometimes things just don’t work out the way you think they will, you know? I can’t believe how different the place is from what I thought it would be. I can’t believe how different the city is now that I’m living here.”

“Good or bad?” he asks.

“I think it will be good,” she tells him.

The piece of hair she had tucked behind her ear falls in front of her eye and he reaches out to put it back into place. His fingers sweep across her forehead and trail down the side of her neck. Her eyes close for a moment as his hand moves over her shoulder, righting the strap of her nightgown.

“Good,” he whispers, withdrawing his hand.

They sat in silence, each taking the other in.

He’s married. He’s married. He’s married.

My wife is upstairs. My wife is upstairs. My wife is upstairs.

“Well, I should let you get settled in,” he says.

“We do have an early morning,” she responds.

“Good night.”

Her lips quickly peck his cheek before he gets up off the bed.

“Night.”

“Shit,” she mumbles as the door closes behind him.

Leaning back against the headboard, she closes her eyes. He’s her costar. He’s married. He’s just being polite because she just moved here.

He starts telling her a story and she can’t remember the last time she’s laughed this hard. She braces herself with her hand on his shoulder. The way his eyes crinkle as he smiles at her sends a surge of heat through her core. Neither of them notices at first that they’re being called into another room.

They walk in still laughing and talking, asking the waiting panel to let them finish the story. He sends her into another fit of laughter until his arm snakes around her waist. She sharply takes a breath, her eyes wide as she drinks in the look on his face.

When they leave, their arms are linked. She’s not sure when this happened, but she knows it feels nice. It’s late and she needs to get back to the hotel to pack. She sighs, not wanting to leave his company.

“Hopefully I’ll see you soon,” he tells her as his arms wrap around her.

“Yeah,” she agrees.

She turns onto her side, hugging the pillow next to her.

He walks down the hallway, past the stairs. He turns into the kitchen, grabbing a glass from a cabinet. Instead of moving to the refrigerator to fill the glass, he leans against the counter.

Running his hand across his forehead, he closes his eyes. He’s married. She’s his costar. She’s new to the city. She needs a place to stay. It’s her personality.

The phone keeps ringing and he expects it to roll over to an answering machine.

“Hello?” She’s out of breath.

“Mariska? It’s Chris.”

“Chris, hi! I guess you heard the news!”

“I did. Are you excited?” He asks even though the answer is evident.

“I am. What about you?”

“Me, too. I just wanted to check in with you, see if you’ve made any plans yet.”

“That’s so sweet! I think I’m going to sublet this place for a bit, see how things go.”

“We should get together for dinner or something once you move.”

“Sounds like a plan, Sweetheart.”

He heads into the living room, leaving the empty glass behind.

Hearing something, he jolts awake. Drawers are opening somewhere, maybe the bathroom. He gets up and makes his way down the hall, stopping when he can see her shadow.

“Mariska?”

She peeks around the door frame and her hair is slightly tousled from the pillow.

“Oh. I’m just looking for some cortisone cream. Do you have any?”

“Are your allergies still bothering you?” he asks.

“No. I, uh, I woke up with some spider bites,” she tells him.

“You’re kidding.”

She laughs quietly.

“I wish I was! Do you know anyone with worse luck?”

“Not in this area code.”

He moves in front of her, opening the bottom drawer and pulls out a thin tube. He unscrews the cap and prepares to squeeze the tube.

“Where?” he asks.

She holds out her arm and he can see the red bumps. He rubs the cream over the bites, making sure to get them all.

“And my eyelid,” she whispers.

Her eyes close and he leans closer to her, dotting the cream gently onto her eyelid. When she opens her eyes, he’s shaking his head at her.

“What?” she asks him.

“Only you.”

She starts to laugh, but catches herself and looks toward the stairs.

“Sorry,” she mouths.

Turning outside the bathroom door, she starts to make her way back to the guest room. His hand catches her elbow and he turns her back toward him.

“Don’t apologize,” he whispers. His lips curl up in a smile and he releases her arm.

Sherman stirs as he slips into bed. She opens her eyes to check the time on the alarm clock.

“Did she just get here?” she asks.

“No, I just fell asleep downstairs,” he tells her.

“Oh. Is she comfortable?”

Closing his eyes, he can still feel his hand running down her arm. He can hear her voice and the soft peels of her laughter.

“Yeah, she is.”.

Stolen Moments (RPF)

Just something that came to me. ;) I've got a few others in the works, too.

Chris leans out the doorway of his dressing room and looks out into the hallway.

“Mariska, c’mere,” he says.

Excusing herself from the conversation she’s in, she walks toward him. If their eyes follow her she remains unaware. The door closes behind her and he has her pinned against it, his face directly in front of hers.

“Hi,” she says with amusement in her voice.

As he brings his mouth closer to hers, he trails his finger down her throat and collar bone.

“Hi,” he replies.

She keeps still, waiting a moment before bringing her lips to his. He tasted like exhaustion: too much caffeine and craft service’s food. She thinks about how she probably tastes the same to him and she smiles into his mouth. He pulls away enough to rest his head against hers.

“Tired?” he asks intuitively.

“Exhausted.”

Taking her hand, he led her to the couch against the side wall of the room. He lays back into the arm rest and she slides into the space between his legs, her back against his chest.

“Think it’s gonna be another late night?” he asks her.

She mumbles something under her breath that he doesn’t catch, but he can’t muster up the strength to ask her again. He closes his eyes as she slowly runs her fingers up and down the side of his leg.

His palm splays over her abs, gently resting on top of her. Their breathing syncs, a slow and even pace. Moving his head so that his face falls next to her neck, he can see the top of his hand rise and fall, timing it by his own breath.

She tilts her head back as he kisses her neck, just once. His lips stay there and he can feel her pulse now too.

He wakes up not remembering falling asleep. Groaning, he shifts, but she doesn’t stir on top of him. He’s not sure who fell asleep first and he feels guilty when he shakes her awake. Her eyes open and she lets out a sigh. She flips over so that they’re lying stomach to stomach.

“Not the kind of sleeping together you had in mind, huh?” she asks him.

“You act like I only have one thing on my mind.”

“Mm, because I know you too well,” she says, her words still laced with sleep.

His hands work around her, kneading the muscles in her back. Her eyes flicker closed again and a small moan escapes her.

“That feels good,” she tells him.

Her arms are snaked around his neck and she tries to pull herself closer to him, to take him in that much more.

They’ve been on set all day and they’re bogged down by fatigue. Both of them have questioned signing on for two more seasons, wondering if it’s really worth it.

If they weren’t contracted to the show, how often would they see each other? If they didn’t spend most of their time at work, would they still be able to be together?

Ultimately they had decided to stay on with the show so that they didn’t have to worry about these problems. It wasn’t that they didn’t enjoy their work, just that it seemed to wear on them more than it ever had before.

It’s the first time they’ve been able to be alone together all day, away from prying eyes. They were beyond the point where they cared what people thought if her hand lingered on his arm, if he stood too close while she told him a story. After ten years, it was as if they had earned the right.

However, they made sure that certain interactions were kept behind closed doors. In those moments when their guard was down, they could take in the little things without distraction.

His hands move across her hips as he finds her mouth. Her movements are slow, as if she’s saying something and doesn’t want him to miss a single syllable. She drags her tongue over his, noting a different taste about him now. He’s sloth and gluttony, and probably the rest of the seven deadly sins, wrapped into one.

Breaking their kiss, his breath is hot against her face. He whispers against her skin softly, words he doesn’t want to speak.

“We should get back.”

She groans. It’s not the thought of a few more hours of work that upsets her, but having to leave the comfort of his arms. She draws up her knees and twists around, one arm remaining around his neck.

“Think we can talk one of the writers into an undercover stint, an affair, something?” she asks him.

“You know it’s not the same,” he replies.

She sighs, knowing how unsatisfying it can be to kiss or touch him in public. At first the restraint and control they showed was exciting, it all built up and exploded once they were finally alone. Now, they had grown tired of the game. There was still a certain built up, but they found themselves more aggravated by the situation.

Getting up, she holds her hand out to him. He sits up; slipping his fingers between his and pulls her back down. He kisses the tip of her nose.

“What are you doing?” she asks with a smile.

“Nothing.”

He keeps a hold of her hand as they both get up. They stop at the door and she pecks at his lips.

“See you in a minute,” he tells her with a smile.

They’re done for the day and she’s thrown everything she needs in her purse. His door is open, so she pokes her head in on her way out.

“Chris.”

He looks up and waves her in. She bumps the door with her hip so that it almost shuts.

“Hey,” he says.

“I’m on my way out.”

Their lips linger when she kisses him, but not for long. Before she turns to leave, she smiles at him.

“Night, Baby.”

I don't think my answer will come as a shock to anyone: Olivia Benson of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Liv kicks ass, plain & simple. And while she's kicking ass & taking names, she does it with such an incredible sense of passion & compassion.

In case you don't watch the show (um, which means that this would be the first time you've stumbled upon my LJ), let me give you a little rundown of Olivia Benson:
She's been working in the Special Victims Unit for around 11 years, although the time span for most sex crimes detectives is 2 years given the subject matter.
She is the product of a rape.
Her mother was an alcoholic & she died when she fell down a flight of subway stairs.
She wants a baby, but has never had the sort of long-term relationship to produce a child & had been turned down by an adoption agency.
She's run from the unit twice: once for a short stint in Computer Crimes & once for an undercover gig in Oregon with the Feds, but SVU is in her blood.
She breaks the rules sometimes, but her heart is always in the right place.
She takes her job so seriously that she was victimized during an undercover operation.

Liv is the detective any survivor would want working on their case. (So much so that actress Mariska Hargitay has received letters & been stopped on the street to that effect.) She plays the part not only of a police officer, but also embodies the aspects of a rape crisis counselor to help survivors go through the process a bit more smoothly.

As far as a television character goes, she is a role model. (There is a piece of Mariska Hargitay in Olivia Benson & there is a piece of Olivia Benson in Mariska Hargitay.)

Plus, she looks cute with a gun.

Second Thoughts (RPF)

This is a short little piece I wrote because I got the idea & it wouldn't leave me alone. I'm working on a few different things, which is why this is so short. It's a teeny bit different than what I usually write for these two, but I hope you still enjoy it.

She was sitting right next to him, but it seemed like she was thousands of miles away.

“Hey, where are you?” he asked, placing a kiss at the base of her throat.

“Don’t,” she told him.

She shrugged away from him, shifting against the back of the couch.

“What’s the matter?”

“What’s the matter? It’s always the same, Chris. I’m sick of having to sneak around all the time. It’s not fair … it’s not fair to Peter and Sherman. And it’s not fair to us.”

“I know it’s not, Baby.” The nickname slipped through his lips, an old habit that he couldn’t stop.

“Chris, please. I’m serious. I don’t know,” she sighed, “I don’t know if I can do this any more.”

This wasn’t their first conversation about how hard their relationship was. There was some sort of inherent nature about the circumstances which routinely reared its head, throwing them off kilter. They wondered if what they were doing was right, but they had never wondered if it was worth it.

He reached for her and this time she let him take her hand in his.

“I hate hurting them,” she told him. “He hasn’t asked me, but I know that he can sense something is off. I think he suspects it and that’s why he won’t ask; he doesn’t want to know. He’s happy to pretend that everything is okay. I don’t know if I should let him or if I owe it to him to tell him the truth.” She paused when the words would no longer move past the blockage in her throat, swallowing hard. “Or if I just need to end it.”

“We could leave them; we’ve talked about it before. We just decided it wasn’t the right time, not if we were re-signing our contracts.”

Turning her head from him, she looked at the denim on her thighs.

“I mean end it with you,” she said, her voice barely a whisper.

He felt like he had been hit in the chest with a 50-pound weight. He wanted her to look at him; he needed to see it in her eyes to believe that she meant it.

“Mariska –”

“How can you think differently? What would Sherman and the kids think if you told them? If you left her? You were married when I met you, Chris. I’ve been the other woman longer than you’ve been the other man. I can’t tell you how that makes me feel.”

“You act like this is only hard on you! You know it kills me to see you like this. You know that it bothers me, too. What do you want me to do though? Just tell me, because I’ll do it. Unless it’s letting you go, because that’s something I’m never going to be able to do.”

She got up and walked a few paces away from the couch.

“I’m not saying that it’s not hard on you. I’m just so tired. And I’m jealous of Sherman.”

He was behind her now. Closing her eyes, she could feel him even though they weren’t touching.

“You shouldn’t be.”

“I know I shouldn’t. She gets all of you though. She gets to have you to herself without pulling you into a room and worrying that someone’s going to knock at the door any second.”

“She doesn’t get all of me. A part of me is always with you.”

“It’s not right.”

“You know what, it’s not. But it’s not right that I met her first, either. I know it’s terrible, but I wish it hadn’t happened that way. I wish I had met you first. I wish I had been able to marry you instead.”

Gently he turned her body so that he could see her. Tears slid down her face, sloping toward her mouth. His hand slid roughly against the back of her neck and she could feel his breath against her mouth as he drew closer.

“Please,” she begged, although she wasn’t sure if she was urging him to continue or to stop.

Opening the door of her trailer, she was surprised to see him there. A spread of food was set up on the fold-out table and he was sitting on the couch, his hand nervously working against his jaw.

“Hey,” she said.

He looked up and smiled.

“What is this?” she asked.

They had been keeping their distance from each other the past week, at least as much as they could. They still laughed and flirted with each other in the presence of others, so that nothing seemed out of the ordinary. However, there were no visits during break and their contact away from work had been practically non-existent.

“I thought we could use a date night,” he told her. “I rented a movie and everything.”

She laughed.

“I can’t remember the last time I saw a movie that wasn’t either a kids’ movie or part of a premiere event.”

He got up and walked over to the table. She joined him, scanning the food he had laid out.

“I’ve missed you,” he told her.

She sighed and bit her lip.

“Me, too,” she replied.

He nudged her shoulder and then handed her a plate.

They settled on the couch with their dinner and he hit “play” on the DVD remote. They ate and watched in silence, each putting down their plates when they were done.

She leaned against him, her head falling to a familiar place on his shoulder.

“This isn’t working,” she said suddenly.

“The movie?” he asked, pressing “pause”.

“No. Us.”

“Mariska, if you want me to leave … I just thought …”

“No, I don’t mean like that. I mean, I can’t give you up.”

Curling her feet up on the couch, she turned into him.

“I can’t give you up either,” he said.

Wrapping his arm around her, he pulled her even closer. His lips fluttered over her forehead, her cheek, and her ear.

“It’s nice to have you back.”

At the Seams (RPF) Part 2 of 2

Alright, here's part two. :D Also, it's come to my attention that I have some unfinished RPF ... I promise that won't be a problem for much longer. I have one more RPF project to tackle before I remedy that though.

Moving his sunglasses over his head, his eyes darted between the people milling around. He had lost sight of her when someone stopped to talk to him. Walking toward his trailer, he continued to scan the crowd.

The door of his trailer opened as he reached for the handle.

“Looking for someone?” she asked him innocently.

“Mhm,” he mumbled.

He let her take a step back before entering the trailer and closing the door behind them. She wrapped her arms around his neck, leaning into him.

Slipping one hand behind her back, he pecked at her lips.

“Chris,” she said, her voice a whisper. “Couch?”

“Shit, yeah.”

He shook his head at himself, almost forgetting that she would be uncomfortable standing. After letting her turn around, he wrapped one arm around her & led her to the couch. He lay down, making sure that she would have enough room for her leg when she lay down on top of him.

Her head nuzzled against his neck as she slipped her fingers between his.

“I’ve missed you,” he told her.

“I’ve been with you almost all day,” she replied.

“I’ve missed this,” he said, squeezing her hands.

She sighed, her expelled breath settling at the base of his throat.

“Me, too,” she whispered.

Closing her eyes, she felt her body molding to his. The fit was comfortable and she knew that if it were an option, she could stay like this forever.

Breaking her hold on one of his hands, he put his hand on her back; his fingers grazing the skin where her shirt rode up.

It was as if the two months away from production had never happened. They had kept in touch during the hiatus, as they always did. Neither of them had been able to slip away from their families and other obligations for long though.

His thumb moved in slow, circular motions at the small of her back. She groaned appreciatively into his skin, her free hand tracing the muscles in his arm. She hooked her right foot around his ankle and shifted her body against him.

She opened her eyes to look at him. Her pulse quickened. She was amazed that despite the ease and comfort between them, he could elicit such a response from her.

His hand trailed up her back, her shirt rising along with it. He let go of her hand so that he could take her face in his palm. She could feel the whispers of his breath on her face, his lips millimeters away from hers. For a moment, their faces stayed stationary.

Mariska reached around his arm to hold onto his shoulder. She moved her lips against his, tilting her head as his tongue slid into her mouth.

His hands gripped her tightly, her skin hot under his fingers. He needed the contact with her, needed to feel her so close to him. Feeling her pull away from him, he looked at her.

She pushed herself up and shrugged out of her jacket. Taking the hem of her shirt in his hands, he slid it up over her head. He took a hold of her waist and moved her against the back of the couch in order to remove his own shirt. Settling over him again, she reveled in the sensation of his bare skin on hers.

“How are you feeling?” he asked her.

“Better now,” she said with a grin. “Kind of tired though.”

He ran his fingers through her hair, massaging her scalp as he went.

“Actually, I’m kind of exhausted,” she admitted. “Limping is hard work.”

“You should rest. We can take a nap.”

She tried to stifle the laugh.

“You want to take a nap?” She traced right above the waistband of his pants. “I don’t think that’s what you had in mind when you told me I better be in your trailer.”

“Things can change,” he mumbled into the top of her head, his lips pressed against her forehead.

Tucking her head into his chest, she closed her eyes again.

“Yeah? Like what else,” she asked.

“Just … things.”

Her breath grew heavier as he continued to pet her hair.

She moaned something that sounded like “Chris” as she turned her head in her sleep.

His eyes flickered open. Tilting his head down, he rested it on top of hers. The rise and fall of her chest against his had relaxed him.

“Chris,” she moaned again.

“Baby.”

She sighed and opened her eyes.

“Hi,” she said, reaching up to rub the sleep out of her eyes.

“Hello,” he replied, his voice still rough from having fallen asleep.

“Mm, I kind of like waking up with you,” she told him.

“Just kind of?” he asked.

“Maybe more.”

There was a soft buzzing noise and she jumped a little.

“My phone,” she muttered as she untangled one of her arms from his. Looking at the screen, she sighed. “Peter,” she mouthed.

“Hey,” she answered.

“Yeah, I just took a nap.”

She leaned away from his body, but she kept her hand on his chest. He folded his hand over hers.

“I’m okay; I was just a little tired.”

“No, really, I’m okay. I’m fine to stay.”

“That’s sweet, but you don’t have to pick me up.”

“Yeah. I’ll see you later.”

“You too. Bye.”

She stroked his hand with her thumb.

“Sorry,” she told him.

“It’s okay.”

“He was just … worried, you know.”

“I know. I don’t blame him.”

“I know I worried you too. I’m so sorry.”

“It’s not your fault you fell, Marish.”

“I hate worrying you though. It seems like I’ve been doing that a lot lately.”

“And it’s such a burden.”

“Hey, I’m being serious.”

“Mariska, we aren’t the serious type.”

“Yes we are; we just pretend not to be.”

Groaning, she sat up and tugged on his hand. He sat up next to her.

“Chris,” she started, “I know that this isn’t … conventional. I know it’s not, but that doesn’t …” she paused to collect her thoughts. “It doesn’t matter, it doesn’t change the way I feel about you.”

They didn’t usually talk this way. Most things went unspoken, falling to longing looks and lingering touches. However, things had taken a turn. They had been trying to find a way to communicate better without using their words. It could only serve them for so long though.

“I love waking up with you. I love the way you say my name. I love the way you somehow know my wants and needs, sometimes even before I do. I love,” she stalled.

He looked at her and his lips tilted upward.

“I know,” he whispered, resting his head against her forehead.

She ran her finger across his jaw. It was time they spoke the words they always danced around.

“I love you,” she told him. “I love you so much.”

“I love you, too.”

At the Seams (RPF) Part 1 of 2

As usual, Mariska & Chris are ridiculously hot & I barely have to write anything. They do it all themselves.

Yes, Mariska really did fall & have to get stitches. She's okay though.

It seemed that he was at her side before she was on the ground. He was crouched next to her, one arm around her middle.

“Are you okay?” he asked, his mouth on her ear.

“Yeah, I’m fine,” she told him.

Taking his outstretched hand, she pulled herself up. Her leg hurt and she winced as she tried to put weight on it.

“Shit,” she mumbled under her breath.

Chris helped her into the nearest chair. He stood in front of her in an attempt to block her from the camera lenses, but bent forward slightly so he was closer to her face. She dropped her head down and bit her lip. His fingers brushed against her side and she rested her hand on his forearm.

“Fuck.” The word came out of her mouth in a sigh.

“You know,” he said after a pregnant pause, “you really need to stop falling down on the job.”

“Shut up,” she said with a smile.

When the EMTs came to look her over, he stepped to the side to give them room, but stayed close. He had no trouble staring down an EMT when they started to move her to a waiting SUV, wrapping his arm around her waist to help her walk.

“Chris, it’s not a big deal,” she tried to convince him.

“You’re bleeding. They think you’ll need stitches. That’s a big deal,” he told her.

“Really, I’m okay.”

His hand skimmed the underside of her breast as he helped her into the SUV and her breath hitched. His eyes widened, thinking back to the injury that partially collapsed her lung.

She met his eyes and gave her head a quick shake, sensing his discomfort. A small smirk spread across her face, which caused him to smile.

“You’re taking years off of my life, you know.”

She laughed, running her hand over his shoulder.

“I’ll give some of them back to you later,” she whispered.

He bent down to kiss her forehead.

“I’m counting on it,” he whispered back.

“Chris, we need you back on set!”

“Let me know how things go, alright?” he asked her.

“Yeah, of course.”

The car had barely left the block before her phone vibrated in her pocket. She winced a little as she shifted to slide it into her hand.

Once she unlocked the screen, “Chris text message,” read across the screen.

She glanced around the vehicle before settling into the seat with her phone.

He was stalking around set, waiting for the SUV to return. When it finally pulled up, he opened the passenger door and held out his hand.

The first thing that came out of his mouth was, “Are you okay?”

“I’m fine, Sweetheart. Really, I’m fine,” she told him.

Helping her out of the vehicle, he wrapped his arms around her. She leaned into his embrace, letting her head rest on his chest for a moment. Then she took a hold of his arm and nudged him.

“Did you manage without me?” she asked.

“Filming goes much quicker without you, you know. We don’t have to wait for you to curl your eyelashes and reapply lipstick,” he teased.

She nudged him again as they walked back toward the set up shot.

He couldn’t help but notice the limp she was sporting.

“Are you sure you should be here?” he whispered.

“It’s okay, Chris. I just busted up my leg,” she whispered back.

“I just want to make sure you aren’t pushing yourself when you should be resting.”

“You know I wouldn’t do that again.”

He held back a sigh.

“I know.”

“It’s not that bad,” she told him.

He had made sure that the rest of the scenes being filmed would require him to stick around as long as Mariska was still on location. She was sitting down, watching as he worked through a scene with one of the actors.

When she got up to prepare for the shot, he stuck close to her. Before they started filming, every few seconds one of them would reach out to touch the other: her hand on his back; his hand on her elbow; her hand on his shoulder.

It wasn’t far from their usual behavior, it was simply amplified.

They finished filming the scene and Mariska laughed about her limp. Her movements were slower than usual and she knew they wouldn’t be getting as many scenes in as had been anticipated.

As the crew set up for another shot, they moved behind one of the commercial trucks. Mariska’s hands trailed up his arms and across his shoulders to his neck.

“Marish.” Her name tangled in his throat as he said it.

She glanced up at him through hooded eyes.

“Chris.”

Her body moved closer to his and his eyes closed.

“Mariska.”

“Go with it,” she told him.

She moved her arm to partially cover their faces, her lips brushing against his. She parted her lips, her tongue swiping against his. She knew there was a chance that they could be seen, but she was beyond caring.

He slid his tongue over hers, his hand snaking up her back. He had been thinking that this was a bad idea. That is, until her lips met his. Most days he waited in anticipation until he had a chance to take her in his arms. Today, however, the waiting had been killing him.

He had watched her leave for the hospital, yet another trip he couldn’t make with her. His mind had been racing. Logically he knew that she had just hurt her leg, but he kept worrying. She hadn’t let on at first how much pain she was in, how serious it was, the last time she had been injured. If she had been injured like that again, he wasn’t sure what he would do.

She slowly pulled away from him, leaving her arms around his neck.

A question formed on his lips and in his eyes.

“I couldn’t wait until later,” she told him.

He smiled and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.

“You sure this has nothing to do with excitement? Is there some ‘against a truck’ club I’m not aware of?” he asked her.

She laughed, her hands traveling down his arms.

“I think that would involve more than kissing.” She winked at him and turned to walk away.

Catching her hand, he turned her around.

“You better be in my trailer during our next real break.”

She gave him a sly smile and walked off.

Kristin: Can we talk about Bones?

David: Yes.

Emily: Yes, let's talk about Bones.

K: Why don't we do that since we're here.

E: Novel idea.

K: [to E] By the way, everyone on the other side of that camera thins we hate each other. This is kinda fun. We should spread that --

D: Mm, but this is our relationship, which is great. Um, our relationship, on the show, is -- it co-exists with conflict, as you can see. And we like to bring that to the table. And one thing I think is --

E: We like to bicker.

D: Yeah, and that's gonna be good this season.

E: Yup.

D: Because we're going to go to couple's therapy.

E: Yeah.

D: Which is gonna king of dictate how we work and deal with each other in the workplace and I've never seen that in television, have you?

E: Couple's therapy.

D: Couple's therapy.

E: For partners.

D: For partners.

E: Never seen it before.

D: Never.

K: And do you know who's gonna play the psychologist?

D: Well, hopefully Steven Frye.

E: Steven Frye has played our psychologist, psychiatrist in the past.

D: Well, he was my shrink first and then you got on.

E: And then I, well yeah, so I can still call him mine. Ah.

D: Well, he's more mine.

E: Well, you got him first, but, you know, I-I, ah, may have won him over.

D: See, this is how we will be talking in the waiting room for the therapist, right here.

E: Steven Frye has been our therapist

D: Yes.

E: Our therapist.

D: Well, more mine, but then turned into yours.

E: Well, sort of, but I think he likes me more, but, any ways, he was our therapist and I'm hoping that he'll still be our therapist, we'll see.

D: yes, and then I know they'll probably bring another therapist in to fill the gap, like when he's maybe fishing in England or London, cuz he does that.

E: Or saving the world in Africa.

D: Or saving the world in Africa. And then the other two don't work out.

E: It's been great to work with him because I've been a fan of his for a long time and --

D: He's great.

E: I've read his books and he's a very smart man, best friends with Hugh Laurie.

K: But I would think that you're probably not gonna get hitched so soon.

E: No.

K: Because it might be --

D: Why?

K: I don't know.

D: We might get hitched and then get divorced and have to go to therapy, you don't know that, right?

E: See.

D: Could be something to save our friends.

E: It's true. I think we were left at the altar and I said, "what do we do now?" and I looked at him --

D: See, just, just look at her.

E: And I asked him that question.

D: I love looking at her. It's dangerous, it's exciting, it's like, it's like being on a roller coaster for the first time.

E: But --

D: It's dangerous. You, you can feel it going up, do do do do do, and then it's amazing.

E: And you know it's gonna drop.

D: You know it's gonna drop.

E: But you don't know when.

D: You don't know where the thrills and turns are. That's the love of the female.

K: Alright, we need to wrap you guys, although I could keep you here all day.

E: I don't know where we've gone.

K: Thank, this was bizarre and fun.

Danger Zone -- Extended (RPF)

I might have Chris & Mariska on the brain. It's not necessarily a bad thing. ;) Certainly not a bad thing for my lovely RPF readers. But when they're so hot & flirty & then more pictures surface ... & they're just adorable & make me feel all gushy, what can you expect?

So, I give you a little extension of Danger Zone. I know many of you have asked for me to continue this one -- I guess you have these two crazy kids to thank!

He thrusts into her, their clothing no longer providing a boundary. His hands cup her ass again and he grins at her. Lines crinkle around his eyes, around his mouth, across his cheeks. Her breathing is heavy and she wants to close her eyes, but she can’t look away.

She reaches out to trace the creases, first with her fingers, then with her lips. Once she’s traced them each at least once, her fingers run across the creases in his neck. Her lips brush against his neck, her tongue darting out to fill each groove.

She can feel his neck turn red before she sees it. His body is radiating heat and her heart beat quickens at the thought. She can feel the blood running through her veins; she can feel the heat travel through her. His hands are moving over her and she tries to concentrate. Her mind is flooded with his touch, with his earlier promises.

An image of his protective arm curled around hers pushes to the forefront of her mind. She thinks her heart might have skipped a beat, but it’s hard to tell because it’s become so erratic. The muscles in her stomach tighten and she grips his shoulder. Her teeth sink into his skin, the rational voice in her head which would tell her this will leave a mark is long gone.

He grunts in her ear as she rocks against him. She tightens against him and he knows that he can only hold on for another minute or two, if that. He can tell she’s close and he slides his hand down to stroke her. A hiss of air escapes her lips and spills onto his neck.

“Fuck,” she mutters.

“Be careful what you wish for,” he tells her.

She thinks about swatting his arm, but he shifts to the left and all she can do is moan. She’s vaguely aware that she’s chanting something that sounds like his name, or God’s name, or both. Hell, she’s willing to consider that he is a god at this point.

He cums inside of her and her name is strained against his throat. She’s not far behind. Once again, he sets her down. Instead of moving away as he had when they were on break on set, he runs his arms up her side. His thumbs rest under her breasts and he traces invisible lines along her skin.

“I love you,” he says matter-of-factly.

She rests her forehead against his.

“I love you, too.”

Danger Zone (RPF)

Seriously, Chris & Mariska are just too hot & flirty. But that's not actually a complaint. ;)

She has to laugh, if only to distract herself from the situation. In reality, she wears her heart on her sleeve and isn’t afraid to show her emotions. But this, this is different. This is where she has to use her acting skills and put on a show. Well, pretend that they’re putting on a show. He’s hamming it up, overreacting to everything. When she thinks about it, his face is comical. Then she shifts and feels him grow even harder against her. She’s an actress; she can hide the heat rushing through her. Silently she thanks whoever invented stage makeup, knowing that no one will be able to see her face flush.

He figures that he might as well take advantage of the moment, so he grabs her ass. He can feel her hand against his neck and he lets out a low grunt, thankful she’s the only one in ear shot. The tone of her laugh changes, as if it’s thickening. It’s lust; it’s gluttony; it’s dangerous. For a moment he forgets about the act and tightens his grip on her, pulling her closer as he starts to lift her up. His eyes are closed, but he can feel her gaze on him. He tries to remind himself that they’re in public. They’re at work. He knows there are cameras around, like always. He can’t hear her laughing any more, but he can feel her hot breath on his face.

“M’rish,” he says, his voice strangled.

“Ham. It. Up,” she replies.

His eyes open and her dark, glassy eyes are staring into his. They’re getting carried away and fast. He drops her so her feet are touching the ground again, reveling in her touch as she presses against him. He sighs as his hands travel over her ass, resting on her back. He tickles her, grinning as the peels of her laughter return. If there’s anything that can distract him, it’s her laugh. He knows that she’s working to convince everyone, but it’s still genuine.

“What are you thinking about?” she asks as she makes a point of exaggerating the roll of her hips.

“Your gorgeous laugh.”

The volume of her laugh increases.

“Sure you are.”

Her thumb strokes the skin behind his ear as her hand remains cupped around his neck.

“Promise,” he tells her.

“You’re full of it.”

“Are you talking to yourself? Expressing your desires?”

He thrusts against her, a long, loud moan echoing in her ear. She can see part of the production team looking on and gives them a playful wink.

“Sweetheart, you know you love a mouthful as much as I do,” she says with a smirk.

The groan is almost inaudible, but she can feel it ripple through his throat.

She rests her head on his left shoulder, her lips brushing against his ear.

“Remember last month, that day it was raining and icy. We were in my trailer and I had to convince you that you wouldn’t burst my lung if you made me,” she takes a breathy pause, “cum.”

His neck tenses under her touch as she presses her thumb into his muscle lightly.

“I couldn’t get you to fuck me, but you went down on me. Now, I don’t know if you remember, but I wasn’t the only one who was happy about that.”

“You play dirty.”

“You know you love it.”

They know they’re going too far. The longer they drag this out, the harder it is to stop. He backs into the car they’ve been leaning against, trying to put some sort of distance between them. She stays in place to cover him, but she lifts her head off of his shoulder. When he glances at her, he wonders if this makes things worse. Now he can see her and watch the expression dancing in her eyes.

She places the hand that had been on his neck on her hip, tilting her head as she watches him. Sometimes it surprises her, the way he looks at her. Once again she’s glad for the stage makeup.

“You’re a tease,” he tells her. “Not even a kiss.”

“Chris,” she whispers.

He knows they can’t, not here. As hard as it is to control themselves when their bodies are pressed together, it multiplies when their lips touch. They think it should be easier, just a kiss, but they both know it’s so much more. The sex could be chalked up to pure desire, even though that’s not true. The kissing though, the kissing is pure emotion. Each one holds or unlocks a certain meaning; each one brings them a little closer. It’s something they’d rather sweep under the rug for as long as they can.

“Later, your trailer,” he says.

She smiles at him, her eyes dazzling him again. They stare at each other for a moment before she looks away.

“You at least going to fuck me this time?” she asks, trying to downplay whatever it is between them.

He leans in to her, his breath sending shivers down her neck.

“Whatever you want, baby.”

He kisses her neck, his lips lingering on her warm skin. Her breath catches, but before she can say anything, he’s already strutting away.

Duality (RPF)

Just a little something to get myself back into RPF mode. Writing SVU fic can be consuming & I got to a point where El & Liv were so damn needy that I got blocked with Chris & Mariska. I'm hoping that this little re-entry will fix the writer's block I have with Natural, because I realized it's been months since I left it off with them getting hot & heavy. (Sorry!)

Any who, this is short, but I've been in a RPF mood. ;) I hope you enjoy it!

Duality

He absent-mindedly twirls the wedding band around his finger. The sound of her breathing and the rise and fall of her chest against him are lulling, but they can’t quiet the thoughts in his mind.

He loves his wife. He does. There’s something missing though. It’s not the sex: the sex has always been great. It isn’t that they aren’t emotionally connected, because they are. And then there are the kids, the kids who bring them even closer.

Love and being in love are two different things though. He loves his wife, but it seems like she’s a well-qualified friend with benefits. Not only is she there for sex, but for emotional support. She’s one of his best friends. It’s just that she used to be his best friend, no contest.

There was no hiding it: if you asked him who his best friend was, he would say Mariska. And he’s in love with her. He’s not sure if it was a gradual process or if it just happened all at once. He thinks that he should know. He remembers everything about their interactions and his thoughts, but it’s still ambiguous.

He buries his hand in her hair, letting it cover the gold band.

She wakes up in his arms and smiles into his chest. He squeezes her tighter when he realizes she’s awake. Her hand runs up his arm and curls around his shoulder, gently massaging his muscles.

Nothing can beat waking up like this. She feels guilty, because when she wakes up in her husband’s arms it’s Chris who’s in her mind. He seems to be there in each intimate moment, like he’s her default.

It’s the mundane aspects of being a couple that she really misses with him. Doing laundry, picking out new drapes, deciding what movie to see on the weekend, even fighting. She thinks it’s silly, but her heart sinks a little with the thought.

She wishes that she didn’t have to take what she could get with him. Not starting an affair was never a choice. Things were so convoluted.

When she looks at him with clouded eyes, he knows she’s thinking about them. She’s thinking about all of them. They have spouses who love them, spouses who are supposedly none-the-wiser. He has his own doubts about the latter, but that’s another story.

“Marish,” he says softly.

“Don’t,” she warns.

She brings her body closer to his, burying her head in the crook of his shoulder. He slips his hands behind her head, kissing the crown of her forehead.

“I love you,” he whispers, the words surrounding them despite the volume.

“I love you, too,” she tells him.

She momentarily closes her eyes as she forces herself to sit up. The sheet falls away from her body, the chill in the air raising the hair on the back of her neck. His hands encircle her waist loosely, and she shifts to break his hold.

“I have to …” Her words trail off, as they do every time they have to part.

“I know,” he says.

She’s bent over, trying to locate items on the floor, and he reaches out to touch her chin, turn her face toward him.

“Mariska, I love you.” His words hold a certain conviction, as if they need to mean something more than they did just a minute or two ago.

“I love you, Chris,” she says before falling back into his arms.

Natural (RPF) (MA)

Part One:

“I want the two of you to do whatever feels natural.”

Natural. What felt natural was the way her body fit with his. The way her arms curved around him, the way the slope of her breasts settled against his muscular chest. What felt natural was the way she felt him hard against her hip.

She tried the best she could to focus her mind. She was a professional, she could get through this. As long as she kept her mind on work, on what Olivia Benson would do to keep their cover. Olivia Benson would know better than to back him up against the wall or pull him onto the bed. Even with all the unresolved sexual tension, Olivia Benson would do what was best and keep her personal desires to herself.

Her head was on his shoulder and the crook of his neck was in her line of vision. Without any hesitation, she started kissing his neck. She had thrown her arms around that neck countless times. She had imagined what it might feel like under her tongue, what his skin would taste like. She could feel his blood circulating, and with her chest pressed against his she could feel his heart racing.

He felt her hot breath on his neck, followed by the soft brush of her lips and finally her moist tongue. His arm tightened around her waist, his fingers pressing into the small of her back. The material of her jeans shifted as she pressed against him. He moved his hand up her back, over her warm flesh. It wasn’t the first time her body had been against his, his hand on her back. Closing his eyes, he remembered his hand pressed against her back while carrying her down the stairs. This time there was no shirt between them, no barrier between his fingers and the hook of her bra. He felt the blood rush through his body, felt the heat rise in his chest and face.

She moved her head back as if she was going to say something, but his lips intercepted hers before she could utter a sound. A slight tingle from her peppermint lip balm washed over his lips as he traced hers with his tongue. When she parted her lips, he could taste the tea she had been sipping earlier. He smiled against her mouth. She had been nervous about the scene.

Oh, he’s playing dirty, she thought. Not that she minded, but she could play dirty too. To hell if it was out of character, she was beyond thinking about Olivia and Elliot. This was about her and Chris now. She backed him up against the wall and positioned herself directly in front of him, his hard-on pressing against her thigh. She worked her hands up his back and neck, raking her nails across his skin.

Her eyes flickered open and she caught the sight of them in the mirror. Their bodies were painted onto each other. She saw a desire in her eyes that was more intense than she could ever remember. Watching him as he kissed her, she was memorized. She was pretty sure that there were still people in the room, probably filming them, but the thought was fleeting.

Whispers (RPF) (AC)

Whispers

It was difficult to remember that there were people all around them. She was pinned between a window and his hard body. The muscle of his arm was resting over her chest and shoulder, his chest and stomach flush against hers. His thighs were dangerously close to hers and she couldn’t think about another part of his anatomy, one she was glad he was able to control. She wished he would control the words coming out of his mouth, the ones he was whispering in her ear.

“I want to take your shirt off and run my tongue down ...”

The smirk on her face was apparent, she was enjoying this as much as he was. However, she was worried about someone overhearing. There was someone from wardrobe standing directly behind him, easily in earshot. She cleared her throat, trying to signal him to stop.

“... your stomach while I unbuckle your pants.” His fingers traced imaginary lines on the back of her neck, making the small hairs stand on end.

“Stop,” she practically panted. “My trailer. Five minutes,” she whispered before strutting away.

The expression on his face was far too cocky as he followed the path she has taken minutes earlier. He nodded to the security guard sitting outside her trailer before opening the door. She was leaning against the fold-out table opposite the couch. Wasting no time, he grabbed her hair in his fists and pillaged her mouth with his tongue. Her hands gripped his bare arms and she thanked wardrobe for their inspired idea of cutting the sleeves off of his shirts while they filmed in hot weather.

His mouth was off of hers now, but before she could protest he peeled off her shirt. She gasped when his tongue hit her neck. She remembered the things he had whispered in her ear, knowing he would make good on his promises. Her eyes closed and her head rolled back. She felt his fingers on her back, heard the clasp of her bra being unhooked. The cool air hit her already hard nipples and her body tingled.

“Marish,” he groaned when she lifted her hips off the table and bucked against him. He ran his tongue over her right nipple before biting down. He repeated the action with her left nipple, then trailing kisses down the line of her stomach. Reaching the waistband of her pants, he undid her buckle and took off the belt which held the holstered gun and badge. She kicked off her boots and reached to undo his tie. His lips brushed against her knuckles as he caught her wrists.

“Not yet,” he whispered. There was no one around, no reason to whisper, yet he still did. Their actions were hushed and intimate. She kissed him as he fumbled with the button and zipper of her pants. He broke the kiss so that he could remove the fabric covering her lower half. With his hands on her hips he stood back to admire her: the tan skin, lean muscles, long legs. His eyes settled on the trim dark hair between her parted legs. Kneeling in front of her, he slid his hands down the back of her legs.

“Chris.” His name hung on her lips as he plunged his tongue into her. She was already moist and his sudden movements drove her closer to relief. She braced herself against the table behind her. He worked her with his tongue, occasionally nibbling her with his teeth. When his finger slid into her, she gasped. The movements were slow, taunting. He had her under his control. When she moved against him, he stopped her. Knowing that she was getting close, he picked up his pace. Her muscles contracted around him and then he let her move. She pushed against his face as she moaned. One hand remained on the table to keep her balance and the other wrapped around his neck. After her moans subsided, she tugged on his hair. He kissed her stomach and looked up at her. Her face was glowing and she was sporting a devilish grin.

Regaining her balance, she put her hand under his chin. She lifted his face up, willing him to stand. Her fingers made quick work of his tie and the buttons on his shirt. She let her hands travel down his chest and abs, around to his back. His muscles flexed under her grip as he shrugged the shirt off. He placed kisses along her jaw while she undid his pants. She pushed him back toward the couch, waiting until he was fully undressed before she straddled him.

Their heads shot up when they heard a knock at the door.

“Ten minutes!” a voice shouted.

“Thanks,” Mariska managed to reply. “Fuck,” she whispered.

He kissed her forehead. “Come on, baby,” he coaxed.

She took him in her hand and placed him at her entrance. “Are you sure? Ten minutes?”

“We’ve beat that before,” he reminded her as he pushed into her.

She leaned back as she rode him, but she kept eye contact with him. His eyes penetrated hers with every movement. He thrust into her harder when he heard her panting. Their eye contact broke when he reached his climax. He grunted and pulled her body against his. Her breasts were warm against his chest and he continued pumping into her. The feel of him coming insider her and her stiff nipples brushing against him sent her over the edge again.

Her forehead rested on his shoulder and she brushed her lips against his neck. She sighed and said, “I guess we should get dressed.”

“Not yet,” he said for the second time. He took her bottom lip between his teeth, rolling the soft flesh in his mouth. A soft moan escaped from her mouth to his. She felt him begin to harden inside of her and struggled not to respond.

“Chris, we have to get back to set.”

“They can’t start without us.”

“No, but they can come looking for us. How would we explain this?”

“Character development,” he told her with a wink.

Her laugh was muffled when he smothered her mouth with another kiss.

If Only (RPF)

This is a RPF (real person fiction): Mariska Hargitay & Christopher Meloni (of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit).

I've had a few ideas bouncing around my head & this happens to be the first one that's come out complete. I've been working on something else, then the other night I couldn't get this out of my thoughts, so I grabbed a pad of paper & voila. Very short one-shot, journal entry-style, Mariska's POV.

Thanks, as always, to my wonderful beta & to those who encouraged me to post this instead of keeping it to myself.

If Only

If only ...

    We hadn’t sought each other out during the audition.

    He hadn’t told everyone to wait, as if our conversation was more important than a prospective role on what was sure to be a hit show.

    I hadn’t laughed hysterically as he finished his story, my hand landing on his chest.

    His hand hadn’t reached for my arm so quickly.

    I hadn’t fallen so hard.

    He hadn’t been married when I met him.

    They hadn’t let me stay with them when I couldn’t handle being alone in an unfamiliar and un-welcoming place.

    His wife had hated me instead of taking a shining to me, being such a good friend.

    His children weren’t such little angels, and seeing him with them didn’t turn me into a puddle.

    I hadn’t let him get so close, when the rational voice in my head told me it was a terrible idea, but the need was so overpowering.

    He hadn’t let me get so close, when it was clear I couldn’t hold myself back.

    We didn’t joke around so much, pretending it was for others who wanted to see it and not for ourselves.

    There was some other way to channel this energy, passion, fever.

    I hadn’t brought another man into this mess.

    That other man didn’t love me despite the fact that he saw through the act.

    My son didn’t adore him just as much as he does his daddy.

    I didn’t seek him out so naturally when I needed someone to turn to.

    My head didn’t fit into the curve of his shoulder so well.

    His hands against the small of my back didn’t feel so right.

    He didn’t know all the right things to say, or not say. The silence between us wasn’t so reassuring.

    My heart didn’t skip a beat when his face turned soft when he looked at me, a smile spreading across his face.

    There weren’t people everywhere as he reached out to brush the hair off my face.

    His touch didn’t spread heat through my body, making me want to ditch the heavy jacket and sweatshirt I was wearing.

    He would push me away, instead of holding me close.

    I could let go of the thought of him, of something happening eventually.

    Something hadn’t already happened, even if it was only emotional.

    The fact that we hadn’t let this manifest physically made me feel less guilty.

    The desire wasn’t so all-consuming.

    The thought of this game continuing endlessly didn’t make me so crazy.

    There weren’t so many things to add to this list.

    I could think of what I already had, instead of what I so badly want.

    My brain hadn’t turned on me, picking up on what my heart was saying, telling me the rational thing would actually be to give in instead of fighting against it.

    I wasn’t making such a life-altering decision.
